African Producer Earns Grammy Nomination For Work On Nicki Minaj’s ‘The Pinkprint’ Album

Liberian music producer Lasanna “ACE” Harris of the band & brand PKOneday is nominated for a Grammy for his outstanding work on Nicki Minaj’s “The Pinkprint” album. Ace’s co-production can be heard on the song “Win Again”.  Nominated in the Best Rap Album category, The Pinkprint is up against Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly, J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and Dr. Dre’s Compton.

In a previous interview with Fufu & Soup Mag, he states that his dream of becoming a music producer all started after hearing Jay Z’s song “Jigga What, Jigga Who”, produced by Timbaland in the year 1999. After hearing the song, Ace recreated the beat on his keyboard and has worked tirelessly to be a master of his craft.

In Fall of 2015, Ace released #ATLiberia, a album which fuses hip-hop and afrobeats.

The Grammy’s air Feb 15th 8/7c
