Feminine and dainty with a little glitz and glam here & there…that’s the essence of Korto Momolu’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
Showing as part of New York Fashion Week on Sunday, September 13th at the Affinia Hotel Manhattan, for the first time ever the brand offered fashion show seats for sale to fans and supporters. Proceeds from sales of seats will go to support two causes which are dear to Korto’s heart: promoting the arts to children and the fight to cure breast cancer.
“I recently taught fashion design to kids at the Timmons Arts Foundation, cultivating the Arts camp this summer,” Korto said. “It’s an honor to be able to contribute needed funds to assist the foundation to keep offering amazing art, music, dance and fashion opportunities for children who normally wouldn’t have the exposure.”
Other proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation.
“Many people, including members of my family are being attacked by breast cancer, and each day more young women are being diagnosed than ever before,” Korto stated.
