Lupita Nyong’o glows on the October issue of VOGUE! And her feature photos for the issue are even more fabulous!
In an interview with VOGUE, she talks about her upcoming projects, including Eclipsed, an award-winning play set amid the Liberian civil war which debuts in New York at the end of the month.
Nyong’o will play the role of the “The Girl” who shakes up a vulnerable community when she becomes the latest addition to a rebel officer’s group of women being held captive. Eclipsed depicts an inspiring story of survival and courage and follows a a set of brave women as they discover and test their own strength in a hostile environment.
“So it’s about that experience, and how women end up creating freedom within themselves,” says Lupita. “My character is wife number four. It’s about her grappling with the loss of her life.”
Liberian-American, veteran Broadway actress Saycon Sengbloh will also star in the play.
