PHOTOS: After 24 Years, NFL Player Tamba Hali Returns To Liberia

Kansas City Chiefs outside linebacker Tamba Boimah Hali has returned to Liberia, for a visit, after more than two decades of living  in America. The star has shared images of his travels with his social media followers.

Born in Monrovia in 1983, the 32-year-old left Liberia in 1992 to escape instability in the country.

He played college football at Penn State, where he earned All-American honors, and was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft.

He’s played with the Chiefs since 2006 and in March signed a 3 -year contract extension with the team. The football star was also recently nominated for a  2016 Liberian Entertainment Award in the ‘Best Athlete’ category.
